Concept Note
The title given to this painting is Cheers to the Haters, the reason behind this is, as one can witness in the painting itself, where these two couples are celebrating their own joy and success after a prolonged period of time. I have not painted the eyes of the female figure the concept behind was that I thought she is capable of seeing the world through her soul and not through her eyes. One cannot witness everything through the eyes and should feel & have a strong instinct in this illusionary world. She is holding a wine bottle and making the gesture towards the Haters that one is not disabled by the opinions of others but by their self-belief. And now that they have overcome the struggle, now making a toast 'Cheers to the haters'
