ABOUT ARTIST

Saumya Bandyopadhyay, currently an Ahmedabad-based contemporary artist and Associate professor of design (& Assistant Director of Foundation studies) at United world Institute of Design. Hailing from Kolkata, the pioneering city of the Indian renaissance, where art evolved and is an integral part of the many festivals of the city; Saumya is but a product of this environment. Growing up in Kolkata, Saumya was exposed to beautiful sculptures and attractive designs, which developed a curiosity and led him to take up a career in Art.
