The abstract world of art of Majeed Mansoori
If one has an artistic mind to decode the language of abstract art and has the vision to penetrate into the depth of the creativity, then he must behold the abstract paintings of Majeed Mansoori. Because in abstract art it is very important to reach the intent of the thought process of the artist.
Mansoori has a style of painting which is drawing less creation of forms, developed with direct application of color and brush on canvas. It gives an effect as if the forms are emerging from within the canvas itself and have not been imposed from without. Bold and broad patches of colors, some time flats, sometimes wavy, some time spheroidal, and some time of geometrical shape present forms of some known world but in a skeptical way that one may not be sure of it, however his interest in watching it remains intact. His forms often come out of some known terrains but are transformed into paintings in such a way that gives glimpses of some bizarre view. Actually, he uses his artistic psyche to explore the unknown world through known ideas. This mixture of transformation of known and unknown into abstract forms presents a great variety of colorful creations.
Mansoori uses his artistic psychology to capture the psychology of the audience who when watching his paintings are fully absorbed in them because the forms created by Mansoori are nearer to the psychology of the audience. Since Mansoori’s art psyche is full of different ideas of forms, he enjoys himself by creating so many forms by applying the different layers of colors patches, sometimes overlapping, sometimes juxtaposed, and sometimes very beautifully imposed on one another. He usually uses dark colors, contrary to each other. However, he also uses the colors of the same hues and shades as per the requirement of the forms and aesthetics. But his specialty lies in using the nature of color itself in his creation. He often seems to complete his work by using the density of color by diluting the same tone of demand of his creation. If he uses dark and thick patches of colors, especially where he likes to put them in a bold way and side by side to create some solid type of forms, he also uses the thin layers of colors, sometimes dripping and shedding on the canvas, to create light and soft types of images. The texture is also one of the desired techniques of Mansoori’s creation, though getting lesser space comparatively in the latest works. However mild texture work may still be noticed in the works entitled Casual Forms. Finally, Mansoori has an intellectual mindset in his creativity and therefore his creation is full of intellectual property. His intellect always tries to explore unknown ideas with the tools of colors, brush, and canvas, which seems to be the goal of his creativity.
ABOUT ARTISTS
Mohd. Majeed Mansoori was born in Mahoba Uttar Pradesh. Fone his MVA in painting from College of Arts & Crafts, Lucknow University 2016. He has received awards from Research grant by National Lalit Kala Akademi 2028-019, U.P. state by Prafulla Art foundation Mumbai, Easter Art foundation Balasore Udisa, U.P. Art summit & some other Award in the painting field. He has also participated in national international And state-level Art exhibitions, and national and state-level camps.
He was invited to the Global Artist Committee of the Asian Art Association in March 2021.
